Burdastyle Magazine 03/2012

I don't know why, but the new issue will be out in a few days and the usual, complete preview is not online yet. So, in order to put this post together, I had to piece images here and there from the German and Russian Burda site. Becasue of this fragmention, I didn't really manage to form a good idea of this upcoming issue, but here are my highlights anyway.

These pants have enough details to make them interesting to me. Also they have elastic at the back, which is a big plus for me, since my derrière is quite difficult to fit.
I also like the lenght.

Cute shorts! I like the waistband, the welt pockets and I think they look really cute in this fabric.

I still haven't decidec if I like this dress or not. I think it might be right up my alley made in a soft floral fabric.

Love this! It almost seems like something out of Pattern Magic. I think the checkered fabric works perfectly.

This skirt is probably not for everyone (I mean, a knot right THERE might be a bit too much), but it has an interesting design.

I really like the button-ups of this issue, they have interesting details and, once again, I love the fabric they chose. I think they look really great in these very light, gauze-like cottons.

If you want to see the scans of previous issues, I updated the Flickr Set of 2012 Burdastyle Magazine.

They posted it on their Facebook page 4 days ago.
I agree with your picks for this month, they are pretty appealing. Can't wait to buy it :))

    1. Thanks for the link! I had seen this preciew, but what I meants is they didn't release their usual preview where you can see the garment on the model, on the dress form and the technical drawing all in one page. It's more user-friendly (and less confusing) that way, I think.

    2. Oh, yes, I agree. I'm very curious to see that front twisted skirt on a model :)

  2. Ooh, I love the shorts! The dress with the twist at the waist is really cool, too!

    1. Eh, Burda è un'istituzione! Stando a quello che hanno scritto su Facebook, LMB doveva uscire oggi (hanno fatto un numero unico per febbraio e marzo). Magari non è arrivato ancora in tutte le edicole!

  5. Yes - those shorts are great! I hope they end up on BurdaStyle in PDF because they'd be perfect for spring.

    1. You're right, I remember a similar skirt from a past issue.
I don't think the dress will give the pregnancy effect with the right fabric! I sure hope so!

  8. Thanks for this collation-looks like some stuff there I'd actually like to sew (Australia is 3 months behind the rest of the world in Burda time though which means I have 3 months to forget that I finally saw an issue of Burda with patterns that interest me). They did that pattern magic type thing in a dress in their Dec, 2006 edition. Also the skirt would look pretty hot (on most sizes) with the fabric swirl round the back-emphasising flat derrieres and curving round the more generously padded ones ;)

    1. I hadn't thought of that skirt in that way... Having a big derriere, I'm always afraid to add volume in that area.

  9. I think the preview that everyone expects from burda is still available on the french site here: http://www.burdafashion.com/fr/Magazines/burda_Style/1270777-1000019.html
It has the magazine picture with a link to the technical drawing.

  11. Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers?
I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on.
    Any recommendations?
